Megan Sullivan

Professional Biography

Megan Sullivan is the Managing Attorney of the Tax team and the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus. Megan attended the Moritz College of Law and pursued a Masters in Social Work at The Ohio State University with the goal of working in legal services after graduation. With that goal in mind, she immediately began volunteering with LASC after graduation. She soon became a part-time staff member and then eventually earned a full-time position at the LASC office. As the Managing Attorney of the LITC, Megan handles about 75-90 active cases at any one time, some lasting only short periods of time, but many taking several years to resolve. The most rewarding part of her work is relieving clients from burdensome debts, helping clients, especially those who are self-employed, understand their tax filing and paperwork retention responsibilities to prevent future problems, and helping clients gain access to the refunds that they deserve.
