Originally from Puerto Rico, she eventually moved to Columbus, and has been here for 35 years. Because she is bi-lingual in Spanish and English, she is able to assist LASC in translating and interpreting for clients. In her position she also holds many other responsibilities that help the program run smoothly. She is backup for the LASC reception desk, coordinates brochures, and assists with the Legal Aid Reduced-Fee Referral Project (LARP) bankruptcy program. Christmas of one year, she remembers that the team was able to come together to provide gifts for a client’s children, and that joy that came about from the client is what keeps her coming back to work every day. She loves her intake family and seeing the joy that they bring to those in and out of the office.
