Professional Biography
Patrick Skilliter works as the senior managing attorney for LASC. “Poverty is systemic. Wealth and income are not determined solely by desire, drive, and willingness to work. I often represent hard working people who are still living paycheck-to-paycheck. A single, unexpected expense is devastating. On top of that, there are businesses - used car dealers, predatory lenders, scammers, and unscrupulous home improvement contractors - who exploit poor people. Being a part of the Economic Justice Team means that I can work with my clients to seek financial stability and fight back against consumer protection violations,” he says about his work.
