Thomas E. Zani

Professional Biography

Thomas E. Zani is the supervising attorney of the Intake Team. Thomas worked in the Steubenville SEOLS office for 18 years and returned to the program in June 2022 as fair housing outreach/enforcement attorney of the OSLSA Fair Housing Team before moving over to supervise intake. During his time away from OSLSA, he worked at Capital University Law School's Family and Youth Law Center and the Columbus Bar Association. 



Thomas is especially drawn to Legal Aid due to impact he can make. "I believe that we directly impact the lives of low-income/senior Ohioans on a daily basis. I enjoy relaying legal information in ways that our clients can understand and working to protect their legal interests in a variety of civil law areas.”

  • Involved in Multiple Disciplinary Cases before the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct and the Ohio Supreme Court while Assistant Bar Counsel for the Columbus Bar Association County Community Action Counsel Board Member 2012-2017

Personal

Thomas is married and has a daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, and also enjoys golfing and fishing. He has an eclectic taste in music and will talk about nearly any pop culture subject.
